API Pond Accu-Clear is the fast fix for murky pond water. It works physically: tiny suspended particles are made to clump together into pieces heavy enough to sink or large enough for the filter to trap, which clears the water and helps the filter work better afterwards. Dose 30 ml for every 570 litres of pond water, wait 24 hours before any second dose, and dose weekly to keep water clear. Overdosing makes the result worse, not better. It comes in 473 ml, 946 ml, 1.89 litre and 3.78 litre bottles, and works well alongside a bacterial cleaner that deals with the underlying sludge.

How much do I add, and how soon will it clear?

Dose 30 ml for every 570 litres — a 5 000-litre pond takes about 265 ml — added near the pump outflow or waterfall so it mixes through. Expect visible improvement within hours as the clumped particles settle or reach the filter; clean the filter the next day, because that is where a lot of the material will be. If the pond is still cloudy after 24 hours you may dose once more, but no further: overdosing actively reduces the effect. Water that keeps going murky is telling you about sludge and organic load, which is Pond Simply Clear’s job, not this one.

Clear water in hours

Suspended clay, silt and fine organic particles pass straight through most pond filters. Accu-Clear binds them into clumps that either settle on the bottom or are caught by the filter, so a pond that was grey or brown in the morning is clear the same day.

Helps the filter do its job

Once particles are big enough to catch, the mechanical filter starts removing them instead of passing them round the loop. That is why clarity holds better after treatment — and why cleaning the filter a day later is worth doing.
